Spoke to Savvey Rest about their suggested layering configurations for relieving pain. According to them :under 160 lb = soft Talalay, soft Talalay, firm Dunlop
Over 160= soft Talalay,med Talalay,firm Dunlop
According to them the bottom layer is less of an issue for support than the middle so this leads me to believe a middle layer of med Talalay would offer more support
My concern is that it would negate some of the comfort that relieves my hip pain
Their other idea was try different layers, well duh
I apologize for asking about your competitors product but this site seems the most reliable I’ve found
Thanks

Hello bones,

No worries about asking Luma Sleep to help you with a competitor's product, we learn through this process as well!
It's worth trying the Savvy Rest recommendation. You can also try just 2 layers (6") of latex with the Plush on top of the Medium to simulate for the pressure relief impact of going with a firmer 3" layer below. Our thinking is that 6" of soft is too much comfort and inadequate support, whereas the progression of soft/medium/firm or soft/medium/medium is likely to be the best you can get with the layers that you have. We would guestimate that soft/medium/medium is where you will end up.
Since Savvy Rest is a local store for you, they should be in the best position to not only advise, but also exchange layers until you find your ideal configuration.

Hope this helps!

That’s a good suggestion
I’ll try two layers

Savvey Rest dealer is great. And will switch layers but unfortunately you can’t sleep there
The showroom configuration worked perfect for my wife
You’ve been more than helpful
