Thanks for all your work here with this site. My wife's back isn't doing so well with our 10 year old, overly soft mattress, especially now that she's pregnant. I've been doing research online and the amount of FUD online about matresses is hard to get through. I'm glad I stumbled upon your website with such good information and informative posts. Keep up the good work!

Hi bradray,

Thanks for the kind words :)

There is a lot of information on the site which can sometimes be a little overwhelming so just in case you haven't already read it ... post #1 here and the information it links to is usually the best place to start to "cut through" the possibility of information overload.

Phoenix,

Thank you for all the information you provide. After doing some research through the forums, I have decided to go with the Ultimate Dreams Latex Mattress. I purchased a cheap memory foam mattress a few months ago, and have been having very bad back pains. I wish I would have found this site before I made that purchase!

Hi

I am new to the site and was wondering how to get my Mattress Underground discount with Dreamfoam Beddings, the merchant on Amazon.com for the ultimate dreams series of latex mattress. Sorry if this is a redundant post and thank you in advance.

Hi 7777777,

All you have to do is tell them you are a member here when you order or when you make your comfort choice. The best time is to tell them when you talk to them to decide your comfort choice but you can tell them in an email as well. Their phone number is at the bottom of their Amazon detailed seller information page here .

Hi,
Does anyone have any personal experience shopping from Sleepez or Green Mattress Factory? The latter's price is lower by $400, but their web site does not include information on exchanging/swapping-out one of the latex layers. When I asked them about this on the phone, they said it was an oversight of the guy who set-up the web site. That answer set off a red light for me.
Sleepez seems to have good products, and a much better exchange/swap-out policy.

Hi bob.hawk,

SleepEz is a member of this site which means I believe they provide among the best quality, value, and service in the country . There are many members who have purchased one of their mattresses and a forum search on SleepEz (you can just click this) will bring up hundreds of posts with feedback and member's experiences with them.

Green Mattress Factory / Dremata is another matter completely. I would be very very cautious here.

Before considering making any purchase from them or any of their other sites ... I would do a little digging into their history so you can make a more informed decision about them. Post #2 here and the post and other online information it links to would be the best place to start before making any purchase from any of their sites.

Hope this helps

Hello. I signed up here a few days ago and have already had a lot of information to absorb while lurking! I've enjoyed what I've read and confirmed things I had a sneaking suspicion to (high end names selling lower quality foam; having a hard time knowing what will LAST and finding warranties nearly worthless)

There are a couple of questions that I don't see addressed - minimum thickness of mattress for one reason or another.. (in my case 8" was my first wish but there aren't many choices -10" maximum thickness mattress because 1. I have my frame already which I purchased before finding this site. 2. I am only 4 ft 10", middle aged and not spry- I and my pets are short!. 3. weight of mattress is of some concern, in order to rotate it 4. budget (limited like many are)

Secondly, while body size is addressed, shape doesn't seem to be - and also I haven't seen anyone address the matter of reading in bed a lot, is there a mattress type kindly to the nocturnal reader or person using their bed for an office, or is this something a propper topper could help with? From years of experience I can say grabbing a pillow and sitting on it does not work well.

This will be my first non innerspring bed. I threw my 8" full innerspring out last summer because I knew I'd never get a new bed as long as the old thing was still around. I have since gone through cheap air mattresses (love em) but with age, sciatica, rotator cuff etc, - hauling old airbeds to the garbage can soon lost its appeal. I'm now on 3" old folding camp mats. IT IS TIME for this princess to find a new mattress. I am thinking perhaps up to $400 now for full mattress, up to $300.00 max on a topper within 10 weeks. An exception to my cap is possibly the Ultimate Dreams Latex in which I would hopefully need to spend much less on a topper later.
