Like Steven, I too am a new member. Thanks for providing this great resource. We are just getting started on shopping for a new bed. I am looking forward to getting out and trying them out.

Hi JaguarIV,

Welcome to the Mattress Forum! .

Normally the "best" first step in mattress shopping would be to identify the factory direct manufacturers or better sleep shops in your area. This can be an even more important step than trying to find a mattress when you're starting out. There are many posts in the forum with lists of these for various areas but if you haven't found one close to you ... if you let me know your zip or the city you live in, I'd be happy to let you know about any of the better choices that are near you that I know about.

Good luck in your search and feel free to post your comments and questions along the way :)

Hi JaguarIV,

Well it's clear you already know about two of the "best" options in your area and I doubt that you will need any more to find a mattress that is exactly what you need and prefer.

You make my job easy :)

I hope you have a chance to let us know how things work out.
