I currently have a SOL Medium 3" Dunlop Latex topper (D75, 34 ILD) and it is slightly too soft. I understand that Earthfoam latex uses a different process that creates a sort of Dunlop with properties of Talalay. I'm curious if in general, does this mean an Earthfoam D75 (34ILD) dunlop topper will feel different from a non-Earthfoam D75 (34ILD) topper from a different manufacturer? I.e. would the Earthfoam/SOL one be "softer" and allow you to sink in further then a different one? Or is it basically all down to Density/firmness, and if i wanted something slightly firmer i'd need to go with a higher dentsity/ILD rating?

I realize SOL has a Firm Dunlop topper (D95, 46 ILD) but am also looking to understand what other options are out there for Dunlop toppers (in both 2" and 3" variations), that would fit within this range of D75(34ILD) and D95(46ILD). Am I right to assume 46 ILD may be very firm?

I currently have the 3" SOL Medium and a 2" Turmerry zoned firm (both same ILD rating) dunlop toppers and plan on trying them out to see the difference primarily between 2" and 3", and from there can try different firmness ratings as well to get the right feel.
