I'm currently 185 but have recently gained from being 145 a few years ago . Very Curvy top and bottom .I'm a side sleeper and I sleep with my arm under my pillow .
I have slept in the past on bed in a box type memory foam mattresses from Sam's ,the really old one I had was very medium firm ,I didn't sink in much like a tempur pedic but unfortunately my dog destroyed it . I occasionally had numb hands in it but I loved it . I then got a new sam's foam bed and it was way too soft and my lower back felt like it was breaking ,so much pain .I'm currently on another med firm feels like mostly poly foam bed, no sink like memory foam ,my back is happy but on the side I'm sleeping on my rib cage hurts,my upper outer thigh is burning from the pressure . it feels like my back loves firm but my ribcage and hip/leg disagree .I really hate springy coil beds,I like a bed to be stable . I went to try some beds, purple was okay but it felt strange ,nectar felt too hard and hot, nectar copper was just okay , I actually really liked the tempur-pedic adapt in medium, the pro adabt medium felt like it was too soft ,the pro adabt firm was a little too firm while the luxe breeze firm felt great and the luxe adapt firm felt like the most comfortable bed I've ever been in, it was the perfect medium firm Devine luxury . Then I started worrying because I keep hearing side sleepers need softer beds??
Then I saw the vzone concept which sounds perfect so I could have a firm back, soft shoulder area and a bit softer around the hips . Should I just order the tempur-pedic adabt medium which feels like the old bed I loved with only a thin memory foam sink and medium firm or go for the plush feeling luxe adapt that felt like heaven but I fear if that thicker sink will make me hot and cause back pain later . Or should I take a risk on the vzone bed ? I can't try latex to see if I like it in my area unfortunately . I also considered tempflow memory foam mattresses because I believe they use better quality foam than tempur pedic, have a unique cooling system and have comparisons to the adapt medium and the luxe adapt that I really liked so much for better prices but I can't try them unfortunately either . I really just want to make the right decision and be comfortable again
