Sorry to the guys who replied after I stopped checking back in. I'm glad others chimed in and I hope your experience worked out as well as mine did. Here I am 3.5 years later and I still love my mattress. In fact, I am looking at replacing or topping a mattress in a travel trailer and will be once again looking at SOL Dunlop because I am so satisfied with what I have in the house.

I have been in the market for a mattress or mattress topper for a travel trailer and remembered the forum. I figured I would provide an update on my previous mattress project. After re-reading it and the posts that follow, I don't have much an update other than it has been great. If you are in the market for a mattress, SOL has a solid product. If you are going DIY like I did, what you get is bare bones (no covers etc included) but it can work very well. It has for my family. Durability has been great so far. The latex doesn't seem to be breaking down or slumping.

Since this thread has been revisited by colorfinger, I too want to say thanks for sharing your experience. I've been wanting to try 5 or 6" of soft latex for a comfort layer, but was doubtful because I know that's unorthodox. You've shown me that it can be done, so I think I will try it.

Hi forolongris:

Just FYI for you - the top 5" were 20 ILD Dunlop latex that colorfinger ordered.
