We've used this site to gain much useful information so I would like to share our experience to possibly help another. After reading thru many reviews and still not knowing which mattress we wanted we decided to take the advice of one of the Admins and visit some of the local mattress stores to see what type and plush level we wanted. It was clear from the beginning we wanted a Latex as we did not like the resistance of a foam and having to sit up to readjust. The instant spring and coolness of Latex was the ideal material for us. We visited Cardis which offered a hybrid latex and it was nice but it wasn't a full latex and it was expensive. We liked the softness level of the hybrid but wanted a full latex for longevity. There were many options online listed here and each had their own strong points that made them attractive but it was not easy to understand form our visit at Cardis what firmness level we needed to order.
Looking at the list provided to us from the good people at The Mattress Underground we found Spindle to only be an hour away and they had a show room which had full Dunlop mattresses with four firmness combinations. They had e-mailed us the actual density levels of each layer but this is what we needed... an actual test drive

We e-mailed Neal and yesterday made our way to their facility. They adjust the softness by layering three density levels of Dunlop. It was a toss up between the two middle set up's they had in the showroom. Firm, Medium, Soft and Firm, Medium, Medium. We choose the slightly firmer. We are both back and side sleepers and weigh around 170lbs. We were also told our setup could be made into a slightly firmer by placing the firm layer in the middle.
Neal had us loaded in 30 minutes and last night was pure comfort. The price level was at the bottom of what we were willing to spend and the quality ended up being at the top. This bed comes unassembled which is a good thing. I cant imaging moving this king mattress in one piece. Putting it together took 20 min and was easy. There was no smell at all which is something I was reading about and it slept nice and cool. If I had one remorse it would be that I didn't choose two twin size vs. a king as it is very heavy to have to move. It would also allow for possibly utilizing adjustable contorting beds in the future which would be the ultimate. Being somewhat local was very attractive for us but I would not hesitate to order online from this company.
